About EveryNearby
Updated 4 October 2026.
EveryNearby is a free directory of local businesses in India. It exists because most directories never tell you how old their information is: a number that stopped working years ago looks as good as one confirmed last week. Here, each listing says whether its details have been checked, and when.
What is on the site
- Businesses in more than 300 Indian cities, grouped by city and category.
- For each one: name, address, phone and website where known, and the date of its last check.
- Tools for owners to claim a listing, correct it and add opening hours, services and more, free.
Where the listings come from
Most start from open map data, credited on our Data sources page. Others are added or corrected by the businesses themselves. We do not copy listings or reviews from other directories.
How checking works
Our checker visits each business’s own website and counts the listing as checked only when the site is live, is still the business’s own, and names the business. The full method, and what it does not cover, is on How we check listings.
What we do not do
- We do not sell position in a list, badges or reviews.
- We do not pass an enquiry to any business other than the one you chose.
- We do not sell personal data.
Who runs it
EveryNearby is run by Irfan Rais, an individual proprietor based in Hyderabad, Telangana, trading as EveryNearby. Day-to-day work such as checking websites is automated; decisions that affect a business, such as ownership disputes and removals, are made by a person.
