EveryNearby is a small, new directory of local businesses in India. Our one promise is that each listing says whether, and when, it was last checked. We are looking for a few people who care about getting details right.
How we work
- Remote, from anywhere in India. We are based in Hyderabad.
- All four roles are freelance: you work the hours we agree, as an independent contractor, and are paid for the work done.
- Small team: you will see the result of your work on the site the same week.
- Plain rules: nothing on the site is for sale, and we do not copy from other directories.

Listings checker
Freelance · Remote · hours and rate agreed before you start
What you would do
- Phone businesses to confirm they are open, and that the number, address and hours are right
- Record exactly what was confirmed, so the listing can show it
- Flag closed businesses, duplicates and wrong categories
What we look for
- Clear spoken Hindi or Telugu, and English
- Careful and honest: a "could not confirm" is as useful as a "confirmed"
- Your own phone and a quiet place to make calls
Business onboarding associate
Freelance · Remote or Hyderabad · hours and rate agreed before you start
What you would do
- Help business owners claim their listing and add hours, photos and services
- Answer owners' questions by email and phone
- Tell us what owners find confusing, so we can fix it
What we look for
- Patient with people who are not comfortable with technology
- Good written English; a second Indian language is a strong plus
- Experience in sales or customer support helps, but is not required
Content moderator
Freelance · Remote · hours and rate agreed before you start
What you would do
- Read new reviews, owner replies and photos before they are shown
- Look up GST numbers on the government portal and record what you found
- Apply our published policies the same way every time
What we look for
- Sound judgement and the habit of writing down your reasons
- Comfortable reading English and at least one other Indian language
- Reliable hours: decisions should not wait more than a day
Local guide writer
Freelance · Remote · paid per guide, rate agreed before you start
What you would do
- Write short, factual guides to finding good local businesses in your city
- Use what you know first-hand; no copied or padded text
- Work from our numbers on what has been checked
What we look for
- You live in the city you write about
- Plain, accurate writing; two samples with your application
- No AI-written filler: we check
How to apply
Email info@everynearby.com with the role in the subject line. Tell us in a few sentences why it suits you, which city you are in and which languages you speak. A CV is welcome but not required.
We read every application and reply to each one, usually within a week.
Good to know
- We never ask applicants for money, a deposit or bank details.
- Messages about jobs come only from an @everynearby.com address.
- We welcome applicants of every background, and decide on the work alone.
